Learn the basics of several skate techniques. For experienced skiers only. Skate skis required.
Ages 16 and up welcome, with one adult required per two children. Ski equipment is not provided. Rental is available for an additional fee.
Check-in at the rental counter inside the Lodge upon arrival. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, or 30 minutes early if you need to rent equipment. Classes last about 1½ hours.
You must either provide your own or rent equipment at the Pigeon Creek Lodge if needed: selection may be limited on busy days.
Please dress in layers (warm hat and gloves are very important), and let know if your plans change and you need to cancel.
Ski classes will be canceled if there is not enough snow or if conditions are unsafe. If we know in advance that the class will be canceled, you will be notified by phone or email. If conditions become unsatisfactory the day of the class, the instructor may cancel the class at the last minute. If conditions are questionable, you can check the ski conditions website at https://www.miottawa.org/TrailConditions/
