Europa Mission
Join the Shoreline Amateur Astronomical Association (SAAA) for an astronomy presentation in the Nature Center, followed by observatory and telescope viewing of the night sky (weather/cloud cover permitting).
Europa Mission: Scheduled for launch around October 10th, 2024, the Europa Clipper mission will launch and begin a nearly six-year journey to Jupiter's moon, Europa. This program aims to delve deeper into Jupiter and its moons, building on the wealth of knowledge gained from the Juno mission over the past decade, which has delivered extensive scientific insights about Jupiter and its moons. It also will focus on the purpose of the Europa mission and exploration of the water/ice moon and its potential for supporting life.
